Spyrix Free Keylogger: Monitor Computer Users Activities with Screenshots

Earlier, I have shared a post on how to monitor kids’ activities on internet and PC. Today, again I am going to review a freeware keylogger to monitor PC user activities with screenshots. Nowadays, everything is going digital and we need more security to protect our privacy in this cyber world. But sometimes you want to spy on someone’s information, especially if they are using your computer. Windows does not offer any feature to spy on their user as it is the biggest security issue but we can monitor the activities of the system user with the help of third party spying tools. Using spying tools can be either a good or bad practice depending upon the motives of the user. For instance, we can use keyloggers to spy someone’s password and other security information or the same keylogger can be used to monitor and control our kids’ activities on the system.

When you search on Google for any good keylogger, you will find a large number of keylogger programs. Most of the good keyloggers come in paid versions but Spyrix Free Keylogger differs from all the other available spying programs. It is a freeware keylogger program which allows you to track all computer activities including information that was entered from the keyboard and it takes screenshots as well. It records all the system keyboard activities and stores them in the log. You can view and filter these log files by date.

Uses and Installation

As usual, you need to download this keylogger from the internet and you can see the download link at the end of this post. Once you download and install this freeware keylogger program on the computer, it will ask you to set a password when you launch it for the first time. This password prevents misuse of this application and only those people who have its starting password can access its log files. You can also assign a hot key to enter password. If you would like to start automatic monitoring on every Windows startup, you can enable the Run at Windows Startup option. The Hide program in System Tray option is also available on the same window.

Once you have finalized all the settings, press the OK button and then you will see the main interface of Spyrix Free Keylogger software. To start this program, just press the shortcut keys that you had set in the startup settings. The default hot key is Ctrl + Alt + A. When you press this key combination, a popup will open asking you to enter the password. Once you enter the correct password you will able to see program’s main interface. As shown in the picture below, the application shows Event, Data/Time, Windows Title and Application details. When you select any event like Keyboard event for example, the application will show the full information of all the activities done on the system keyboard in the detail view window. When you click on a particular computer event, it will show all the details and applications that were run on the system with screenshots. You can manage Spyrix Keylogger operations like start/stop, settings, hide, minimize and exit directly from the toolbar.

I did some research and found that Spyrix Free Keylogger does not support any uninstall protection and anybody can check in on the Uninstall Programs list and remove it from the system without entering any password. But for basic purposes, it is a good application. Spyrix Free Keylogger supports Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7 and Windows 8 – both 32-bit OS and 64-bit OS editions.
