With so many new malicious virus hitting the internet each day, we must take into account internet security and its computer related threats as well. We need to keep our passwords as safe as possible all the time. The most common way to secure online accounts is to use complicated passwords that are not easy to guess or crack. Complicated passwords ensure the safety of our system and online account but these complicated passwords are not easy to remember and sometimes we forget them, especially if we haven’t used them in a while. Most websites have the option to recover lost passwords but unfortunately we can’t use such type of option in the system. To solve this issue, you can use a freeware password recovery tool called Passwd Finder, a nice freeware application available for Windows that helps you retreive your lost passwords. Once installed, it will show you all the passwords saved by web-browsers, email clients, instant messengers, FTP clients and other programs.
How to Use PasswdFinder?
The list of all the software and applications supported by PasswdFinder is very long so in short, I can say that it supports most of the popular Windows applications. It supports all popular internet browsers like Chrome, IE, Firefox, Opera, Apple Safari and Folk. Similarly, it also supports all the commonly used internet messenger applications, email clients, FTP clients and other popular software.
When you start this application, it will take a few seconds to search and find all the available passwords on your system and show them to you in a single window. The Password lost window lists all the programs that are supported by this application accompanied by the respective passwords. You can copy all the passwords if you want to save them in a safe location. You can also export all the passwords and information in different formats like Html, txt, CSV, etc. If you want to export all the discovered passwords as a hard copy, you can use its print feature as well to get a printout of all the passwords.
PasswdFinder is a neat app to recover lost passwords but this utility can also exploit your passwords to others. PasswdFinder does not have any password security so anybody can use this application on your computer if you do not uninstall it after completing the task. Note that the tool that I reviewed here is for educational purposes only and to help people who have lost their passwords. Please don’t misuse this tool to hack someone else’s PC passwords.
PasswdFinder works on Windows XP, Vista, 7 and Windows 8.
