This is not the first time I am covering a PDF utility on this blog. I have covered lots of freeware PDF applications and tricks for my visitors. For my new visitors I have listed some of the best PDF related articles that I had written some time back.

Save Your Facebook Photos and Albums as PDF File to Your Computer [Free Online Tool]
To check all my previous articles on PDF click here. Today, I am going to review one more tool which allows you to compare the differences between any two PDF files. On many occasions, we handle PDF files and sometimes we get two PDF files and want to know which one is better. You can also check any new PDF book version with an old PDF book for changes and updates. DiffPDF is a freeware program for Windows and Linux to compare any two PDF file. It offers three comparison modes: Words, Characters, and Appearance.
When we install this application on the computer, it will compare the two PDF files for word differences but we can change it to detect character differences also. Along with Word and Characters, you can compare the two files for any appearance change (for example, if a diagram is changed or if a paragraph is reformatted, or a font changed).
When you open both PDF files in this application, you can move the scrollbar of the first window and the second will automatically move along with it. The scrolling bar moves together so you can see the live difference between the two PDF files and compare them for changes. As I told you in the beginning, DiffPDF supports three comparison modes: Words, Character and Appearance so you can set these modes any time using the control option. In control panel, click on compare options and select any mode that want to use while comparing the two PDF files using this application.
It works on Windows XP and Windows 7 (both 32-bit and 64-bit Windows). Linux version is also available of this application.
