Free Services to Download Photos from Instagram Account
Instragram is a very popular free photo sharing option to share photos using Android and iOS apps. At first it was an iPhone app exclusively but now it is also available as an Android application to share photos and images with your friends using Android based smartphones. Some days earlier, it was acquired by Facebook for approximately 1 billion dollars and we will most probably see some great changes in this service in the near future as Facebook will try to make it better than what it is now. It is very popular because it gives you an easy way to share your photos online on social networking websites like Facebook, Twitter, etc. Using Instagram, you can add awesome effects to your photographs and make them special before sharing them online.
After Instagram was bought by Facebook, some Instagram users have expressed the desire to download all their photos from Instagram. Unfortunately, Instagram, at present, does not have any option to do so but there is one other option to download your photos from Instagram. You can use some other free online service that helps you to download all your photos from Instagram with a single click. instaport.me is a popular online service that can be used to download photos from Instagram and the best part is that this can be done in just two steps. Just login and export all your photos in ZIP format.
In the above image, you can see that once I connected my Instagram account with this service, it offered the option to download all the photos in ZIP file format. It doesn’t need any special configuration. Just enter your Instagram username and password using this service and click on the Start Export button. The ZIP file size depends on the photos you uploaded on Instagram so it may take some time to download on your computer.

If you don’t want to use any online service, a small and portable standalone application is also available. It is a small utility for Windows which lets you download photos from Instagram directly on the computer. Unlike online services such as Instaport, you do not need to enter login ID and password of your account. You can even download photos of any Instagram user after entering the username.
Once you enter the username in the Instagram Downloader window, click on the Download button and after a while this application gives you the URL of all available photos of that specific user. It will make a text file in the same folder where you start this application with the downloading link URL of all photos. The biggest drawback of this application though is that you need to paste the URL of the photos on your browser’s address bar and then download them one by one on the system. While both of these applications are free, Instaport gives you the option to download all the photos together instead of a single photo at a time but Instagram Downloader has the option to download any single photo from Instagram photo sharing service.
It is a completely open source application that runs on Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7.
