In Windows 7 and Windows 8, we only have the option to change the color of windows which includes border colors. There is no option available to customize window borders according to our choice. For example, if you want to adjust the border width then you can do it only via registry editing as there is no direct option to change windows borders. However, there is a freeware tool available on the internet named Tiny Windows Borders for Windows 8 which offers an easy way to change the width of window borders in Windows 8. People who are not happy with large (~3px) windows border size in Windows 8 RTM (RP, CP and so on) can use this application to change window border width with one click. It is the easiest way to change window border width because playing with registry is not a good option for normal and amateur users. It is a completely portable application of less than 50kB size.
Tiny Windows Borders is very easy to use, just move the slider to get the desired border width and click on the Log off to apply the changes button. You will be immediately logged off, so make sure to save any unsaved changed in open programs before hitting this button. Once you log back in Windows 8, you will see the effects. Advanced users can restart Windows 8 Explorer to see the effects instantly.
Tiny Windows Borders supports both 32 bit and 64 bit versions of Windows 8.
